Alpe d’Huez is a historic land of downhill mountain biking, the essence of which can be found in the thirty or so kilometres of the legendary Megavalanche trail, from the snows of the glacier to the small passages over the streams.
With its thirty-six signposted routes dedicated to mountain biking, Alpe d’Huez is at the heart of one of the largest mountain biking areas in France, an immense playground stretching over 2,600 metres in altitude difference, from the summit of the Pic Blanc at 3,330 metres to the edge of the Bourg d’Oisans valley.
