From the resorts of Oz en Oisans and Vaujany
The Tomorrowland Electronic Music Festival, a global event, will hold its first edition on Alpe d'Huez.
The Alpe d'Huez ski area will only be accessible with the Tomorrowland Pass. This pass will be sold at the beginning of September as an accommodation package + ski lifts + access to the festival for 4 or 7 days.
Tomorrowland is also available as an option, with the purchase of a season or year pass, as a priority and at a special rate: this includes ski lifts and access to the festival from 12 to 15 March.
After the new Enversin gondola lift, the Commune of Vaujany decided to renovate the Montfrais gondola lift.
From this summer, after the dismantling of the 72 now mythical cabins. All mechanical and electrical systems are planned to be upgraded, the 3 stations renovated and the 73 cabins replaced. An investment of 4 Million Euros
Opening of the new gondola lift in December 2018.
The perfect interconnection of the cable car and two cable cars in the village of Vaujany makes it an atypical and almost unique place in France. The architectural ensemble dated back to the station's creation and required a new youth.
The boarding area has been enlarged and the construction of two footbridges will allow new residences to have level access to the lifts.
This year, the device benefits from a major inspection of all the structures, an opportunity to carry out major renovation work. The electrical control and command systems will be replaced by the latest generation equipment, and the 4 stations will be connected to each other by optical fibre.
Security and availability of this cable car linking the Alpe d'Huez will be further strengthened.
The Valleen lift project linking Allemont to Oz en Oisans Station is progressing well.
Its profile is gradually taking shape, a bottom station located in the heart of the village of Allemont, will blend harmoniously into the landscape.
The top station, located in the heart of the snow front, will give you quick and comfortable access to the resort of Oz and the ski area, particularly from the Alpette and Poutran cable cars.
In the second half of 2018, public inquiries will be launched and work can then begin as soon as administrative authorisations have been obtained. Opening planned for December 2019.
